Cherche: Famille d'accueil pour étudiante (septembre-décembre 2017)

Chers membres de la communauté,

Mon nom est Bettina Surtmann et j’ai 20 ans. Depuis 2015 j’étudie le droit des affaires dans l’Université des Sciences économiques et commerciales de Vienne.
Je ferai un stage cet automne, dans un bureau de liaison d’une région fédérale d’Autriche. Pour cette période de septembre à décembre 2017, je voudrais bien faire la connaissance avec la culture belge et aussi avec sa culture juive. C’est pourquoi je cherche une famille qui voudrait m’accueillir pendant le temps que je resterai en Belgique.
D’origine autrichienne, j’ai habité en Carinthie avant le début de mes études. Ma famille n’est pas grande – mes parents, ma tante, mon oncle et moi, nous tous venons de Carinthie. Mon village d’origine s’appelle Feldkirchen (au milieu de la Carinthie).
Après ma formation scolaire technique, j’ai décidé de continuer avec des études tout à fait différentes – les droits des affaires. Intéressée par les cultures différentes, des langues et les voyages, je pose des questions tout le temps. En ce moment, j’essaie d’améliorer mes connaissances en français et en hébreu et je voudrais bien apprendre le russe à l’avenir.
Après mon déménagement à Vienne, je décide de devenir membre de la communauté juive. Il était clair pour moi que juste la communauté libérale va bien avec mon mode de vie. Elle est une part très important dans ma vie et j’aime intégrer les traditions juives dans le quotidien et la façon de fêter, apprendre et prier ensemble dans la communauté.

Alors, pourquoi je voudrais habiter avec une famille pendant mon stage ?

Premièrement, je tiens à l’environnement familial parce qu’on peut parler des expériences de la journée, manger ou même cuisiner ensemble. Je suis très sociable et j’ai besoin d’un environnement communicatif et de contacts sociaux réguliers. Pour moi, il est très intéressant de faire la connaissance de nouvelles personnes.

Et deuxièmement, je crois que pour connaître une nouvelle culture, il n’y a pas de meilleure manière que d’intégrer un foyer local.

Je serais très heureuse s’il y a une famille parmi vous qui a l’espace et le temps pour m’accueillir.
Bien entendu, je paierais un loyer à convenir ensemble.

My name is Bettina Surtmann and I am 20 years old. I am studying law and economics at the University of economics and business of Vienna since 2015.
This autumn, I have the opportunity to make an internship in an associated office of one of the federal states of Austria. I would appreciate it very much to get to know the culture of Belgium and also its jewish culture in this period from September to December 2017. That’s the reason why I am contacting your community – I am searching for a jewish family that would welcome me during my time in Brussels.
My home town where I lived before I started my studies is called Feldkirchen and is situated in the federal state Carinthia. My family is not that big: My parents, my aunt and my uncle are still living in my home town.
After finishing the technical college, I decided to choose a completely different field of study, namely law and economics. Because I am so interested in different cultures, languages and travelling, I am always asking questions. At the moment, I am trying to improve my French and Hebrew. I would like to learn Russian in future, too.
Followed by my settlement to Vienna I became a member of the liberal jewish community. From the beginning on it was clear to me that just this community fits to my personal lifestyle. It is also a very important part of my day-to-day life and I like the way of celebrating, learning and praying there.

So, why I am searching for a family during my stay in Brussels?

First, I like the atmosphere of a family. Speaking about the happenings during the day, eat or even cook together – I appreciate this way of living very much. I am very social and communicative and I need an environment with people around me with whom I can exchange experiences and happenings. I love to get to know new people and find friends as well.

And secondly, I believe that living in a local family can give the best insights in a foreign culture.

I would be very happy if a family of the community would have the space and the time for welcoming me among them!
