Activités du groupe LGBT bruxellois « BaLaGan »: restez informés pour les suivantes ICI
Prochaine rencontre le 5 mai à 20h00, dans le cadre de la semaine des fiertés (en amont de la Gay Pride à Bruxelles).
Le rabbin Marc Neiger animera une discussion sur les questions LGBTQI et le Judaisme (en français) à la Rainbouw House (Rue de la Chaufferette 3 à 1000 Bruxelles).

" BalaGan ! " animera un atelier pendant le PrideFestival Brussels qui sera ouvert à toutes et tous et qui portera sur le thème de la spiritualité et de la culture juive pour les personnes LGBTQI. Le but sera d’avoir un aperçu de la manière dont les nombreuses communautés juives reinterprétent - de nos jours - la tradition, non seulement pour démontrer que l’homosexualité n’est pas condamnée dans la Torah, mais aussi pour rendre au concept de “queerness” la place qu’il a toujours eue dans nos textes et notre histoire.
" BalaGan ! " zal tijdens het PridFestival Brussels een workshop animeren. Deze staat open voor iedereen en behandelt het thema van joodse spiritualiteit voor LGBTQI-personen. Een open vraag, die het aanwezige publiek toelaat om deze veelbelovende groep te helpen haar projecten en doelen te bepalen, en antwoorden te bieden op de verwachtingen van de joodse LGBTQI-gemeenschap in Brussel en België, die momenteel nog te beperkt vertegenwoordigd is in het vrijwilligerswerk.

"During her only visit to Israel in the 50's. Marilyn Monroe was served chicken soup with matzo balls for three times a day. At the end of which she asked "Isn't there another organ of the matzo that one can eat?". That made me understand that Israeli food is misunderstood around the world."
Gil Hovav is a leading Israeli culinary and television celebrity who has played a major role in changing Israeli cuisine from basic traditional foods to enviable gourmet dining. He has become a household name in Israel for hosting classic TV shows such "Pepper, Garlic and Olive Oil", "Captain Cook" (which reviewed the world's best restaurants), and "Going to the Market". This series later turned into best-selling cookbooks, the latest of which, "Confessions of a Kitchen Rebbitzin", he is coming to the Brussels Book Fair to present.
As an author, Gil Hovav has also published three best-selling novels, all related to his family's colorful history, exposing with humour and emotion the Jerusalem of his childhood that no longer exists, and what it is like to be the great-grandson of the reviver of the Hebrew language - Eliezer Ben Yehuda. He has lectured around the world and led cooking demonstrations and seminars focusing on Israeli cuisine, combined with his unique personal stories.
BaLaGan, LGBT Jews in Brussels, is proud to host this Israeli celebrity in Brussels. Tonight Gil Hovav will not only give us a unique insight into Israeli cuisine, but also tell us about his own personal story and life as a gay man in Israel. The talk will be accompanied by a culinary demonstration and followed by drinks offered by the Embassy of Israel to Belgium and Luxembourg.

Samedi 20 février 2016, 13h00 – IJC: Judaïsme et questions LGBT
Dans le cadre du ‘Super Shabbat’ à l’IJC, Gianluca Pacchiani, Sytske van Wesemael et David Weis animeront un workshop et débat sur le thème du judaïsme et des questions LGBTQI :
BaLaGan is a recently launched initiative for LGBTQI Jews in Brussels and beyond (Belgium & Luxembourg). Our primary aim is to get together on a regular basis, celebrate Shabbat and holidays, have joint sessions with Beth Hillel, Shir Hadash and the IJC on religious and cultural topics, collaborate with other Jewish LGBT groups in Europe, the USA and Israel, and reach out to other LGBT faith communities in Belgium. During the workshop on 20 February our aim is not only to present our own plans, but also to put it in a broader perspective within Judaism, Belgium, the LGBTQI movement in general and beyond. We’ll try and identify what role progressive Jewish movements have played and can still play in this regard and what added value an organization such as BaLaGan can have in local Jewish life.

BaLaGan: initiative regroupant les Juifs LGBT de Bruxelles et de ses environs
Quelques enthousiastes ont décidé de lancer une initiative similaire à des groupements existants déjà en France au Royaume-Uni, en Allemagne et aux Pays-Bas.
Le but premier est:
-de se voir régulièrement
-de célébrer Chabbat et les Fêtes ensemble
-d'avoir des activités communes avec Beth Hillel et l'IJC concernant des sujets religieux ou culturels
-d'être en contact avec d'autres groupes LGBT juifs en Europe, aux Etats-Unis et en Israël
-de nouer des contacts avec d'autres associations/communautés religieuses LGBT en Belgique.
Nous envisageons d’autres activités, après la première rencontre du 18 octobre, et nous avons aussi célébré ensemble Hanoukkah le 6 décembre 2015.

It’s time for rainbow Jews in and around Brussels to get together! A few enthusiasts have decided to launch an initiative similar to ones already existing in France, the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
Our primary aim is to get together on a regular basis, celebrate Shabbat and holidays, have joint sessions with Beth Hillel and the IJC on religious and cultural topics, collaborate with other Jewish LGBT groups in Europe, the USA and Israel, and reach out to other LGBT faith communities in Belgium. Other activities can be envisaged, but for now we have launched a Facebook page and will prepare a first event in autumn to get to know one another and have an informal klatsch.

NEDERLANDS
De tijd lijkt rijp om Joden uit de wijde Brusselse omgeving met een LGBT-achtergrond samen te brengen! Een paar enthousiastelingen hebben de handen uit de mouwen gestoken om dit initatief, dat gelijkaardig is aan reeds bestaande initiatieven in Frankrijk, VK, Duitsland en Nederland, uit de grond te stampen.
Ons voornaamste doel is om op regelmatige basis samen te komen om Shabat en feestdagen samen te vieren alsook om gemeenschappelijke activiteiten met Beth Hillel en IJC te organiseren rond religieuze of culturele thema's. Daarnaast willen we ook contacten leggen met andere Joodse LGBT-groepen in Europa, de VS en Israël en banden aangaan met andere religieuze LGBT associaties/gemeenschappen in België. Andere activiteiten kunnen eveneens voorgesteld worden, maar in eerste instantie hebben we een facebookpagina aangemaakt en bereiden we onze allereerste evenement in het najaar voor om elkaar op informele wijze te leren kennen.
